The Literary Presenters Technical Assistance Program
(LitTAP) is pleased to announce the awarding of seven (7) Strategic Technology Project re-grants to New York State literary nonprofits. These awards will assist each organization in the design and implementation of distinct and comprehensive technology strategies.

Facing Pages Convening Yields New Opportunities for Literary Organizations

In October of 2009 Facing Pages held a statewide convening, Beyond the Tangled Web: Envisioning a Comprehensive Technology Strategy for Your Literary Organization. Colleagues from all over the state gathered at the stunning new Poets House in Battery Park to discuss strategies for how literary presenters and presses can utilize new technologies to further their missions. The day included panels, a keynote address, readings, and a special presentation on the future of the book.

 

To help us navigate this complicated and ever-changing world of technology, we asked Veronica Liu of Steven Stories Press, one of the key planners of the convening in October, to provide us with a toolkit: a list of resources to help get you started as you plan your literary organization’s technology strategy.
